BREST, 13 December (BelTA) - The first day of the Marathon of Unity kicks off in Baranovichi on 13 December BelTA learned from the organizers.
On 13 and 14 December, Baranovichi will be hosting the national social and cultural campaign Marathon of Unity. This is the ninth city on its route: The Marathon started its way from Molodechno and has already visited Gomel, Zhlobin, Bobruisk, Mogilev, Vitebsk and Orsha. It is the second city in Brest Oblast to host the event. The first one was Pinsk.
The guests will be introduced to Baranovichi and its landmarks. Excursions will be organized for bloggers and creative teams from Mogilev Oblast and Minsk Oblast. They will have an opportunity to see the children's technopark of equal opportunities at Gritsevets Secondary School No. 1. The school also houses a unique museum of national unity. ElegmaInvest, Baranovichi Bread Factory and Torgmash will cordially welcome the guests.
The project We Do One Thing! networks enterprises that work in partnership with each other. The idea is to reflect the manufacturing unity. Two such meetings are planned in Baranovichi. Employees of Baranovichi Automobile Unit Plant will meet with the staff of Zhodino Heavy Forging Plant and Volkovysk Volmet. Baranovichi Machine-Tool Plant is also expecting visitors, namely representatives of Borisov-based Ekran, Rechitsa Metalware Plant, Minsk-based Equipment Rent Investment and Vitok.
“The Marathon of Unity and the project We Work Together, We Sing Together! will bring concerts to the shops of Baranovichi Cotton Production Association, the Baranovichi branch of OAO Krichevcementnoshifer and the Baranovichi Locomotive Depot.
A lot of interesting things are in store for schoolchildren and students. Baranovichi State College of Technology and Design and Chernyshev Baranovichi State College of Light Industry will host Not-Boring Not-Lecture events. The children will be able to talk to famous speakers in a relaxed atmosphere. The most active participants of the meeting will get prizes, including tickets to the concert Time Chose Us.
A truly unique event is planned at the Palace of Children's Creativity. Artists of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus will give a ballet clinic for young dancers, and musicians of the orchestra of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus will give a master class for fledgling musicians.
In addition, Baranovichi State University will host a frank conversation My Life. My Way. My President. Students of the university and representatives of the public will meet with Marianna Shchetkina, candidate of sociological sciences, associate professor, head of the representative office of the Standing Committee of the Union State in Minsk.
The National Academy of Sciences will arrange A Look Beyond the Horizon exhibition at Baranovichi State University. It will stay open for two days. Visitors will be able to learn about the best developments of Belarusian science in various areas. The key topics include space, unmanned systems, microelectronics, the latest materials, biotechnology, functional nutrition, Antarctic research, history and archeology.
The Belarusian news agency BelTA will run three expositions in Baranovichi. The Belarus. Takeoff project reflecting the country's milestones will be running in the Svetilovsky trade and exhibition center. The Parallel Worlds exhibition will be on display in the Baranovichi-Polesskie railway station. This project shows the path of the country for the last 30 years of independence from the point of view of two worlds. One of them is the way of peace and creation, achievements. The second, the “parallel” one- the way of hatred and degradation. The Sovereign Belarus exhibition will take place in the ice arena. It clearly shows the achievements of our country in the political, social and economic avenues.
On Saturday, 14 December, Baranovichi residents and guests are invited to visit the Ice Palace. They promise treats and entertainment for all tastes and ages.
There will be a rare opportunity to see a MAZ racing truck and talk to the MAZ-SPORTauto team. The Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War will present a mobile exposition at 10.00. The city quest by the Belarusian Republican Youth Union will start at the site near the Ice Palace at 10.30. The winners will get prizes and tickets to the concert “Time Chose Us”.
By the way, the marathon will leave behind the mural painting “The Future of Belarus is in Your Hands”. It was painted on the facade of one of the houses on Kirov Street.
The Baranovichi-Polesskie railway station will also host a meet-and-greet with Information Minister Marat Markov, ONT political observer Igor Tur and editor-in-chief of Alfa Radio Vadim Shepet.
The Time Chose Us concert in Baranovichi will feature amateur and professional groups from all corners of Brest Oblast, artists from Mogilev Oblast and Minsk Oblast and beloved Belarusian performers.
