MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – I prefer Belarusian-made suits and footwear, President Alexander Lukashenko shared his clothing preferences during the meeting with the members of the public, representatives of the Belarusian and foreign mass media on 3 February, BelTA has learned.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that he gives preference to Belarusian suits that are several times cheaper than imported ones and are not inferior in terms of quality.
The Belarusian leader also said that famous fashion designers Ivan Aiplatov and Yulia Latushkina are designing uniforms for Belarusian ice hockey players.
The president answered many personal questions, for instance, why he chose a red tie for the meeting. “Red ties are in fashion now,” the head of state said. Alexander Lukashenko jokingly dismissed the comparison with U.S. President Donald Trump and noted that he already wore a red tie before.
