Lukashenko congratulates U15 Golden Puck medalists
MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated winners and prizeholders of the U15 Golden Puck ice hockey tournament during the closing ceremony of the 14th Christmas amateur ice hockey tournament for the prizes of the President of Belarus on 7 January, BelTA has learned.
The head of state shook hands with every young player presented at the award ceremony. The U15 Golden Puck tournament was held as part of the 14th Christmas amateur ice hockey tournament at Chizhovka Arena. Young players got a chance to learn from world-renowned players. For instance, the Minsk Christmas tournament featured Olympic champions Sergei Svetlov of Russia, David Moravec of the Czech Republic and many other famous athletes.
Close attention is paid to the training of young ice hockey players in Belarus. After the award ceremony at Chizhovka Arena, young athletes emphasized a special sports atmosphere of the tournament and expressed the wish to take part in the competitions next year.
