BURABAI, 29 May (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov was awarded the Order of Kurmet by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov at the ceremony to present state awards of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia to high-ranking officials on 29 May, BelTA has learned.
In line with the decree of the Kazakhstan president, the Order of Kurmet is presented in recognition of achievements in public and social activities, a big contribution to the social, economic and cultural cooperation between nations. Karim Massimov also presented the Order of Dostyk 2nd Class to First Deputy Chairman of the Russian government Igor Shuvalov.
Andrei Kobyakov, in turn, presented the Order of Friendship of Peoples to Karim Massimov for a big personal contribution to the preparation of the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty, development and expansion of integration processes, enhancement of cooperation between Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan. The Belarusian head of government also gave the Order of Friendship of Peoples to Chairman of the Board of the Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna Umirzak Shukeyev.
Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev presented the Order of Friendship to Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev for active participation in the preparation in the preparation of the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty.
