MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Exhibits from the holdings of the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War will be showcased in the exhibition “We were Together in the Fight Against Nazism” at the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War in Moscow, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Culture Ministry.
According to the concept, every country of the former Soviet Union will have its section in the exhibition and will be provided with a set of equipment, including display equipment, showcases, and screens. The exhibition is expected to open in late April. The project is one of the main events to celebrate the upcoming 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.
The exhibition will continue last year’s project of Belarusian and Russian museums that marked the 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders. The project was held in July-August 2014 with the support of the Belarusian Culture Ministry and the Belarus-Russia Union State. The project was the first one to be presented in the new building of the museum of the Great Patriotic War. Its visitors had a chance to see over 100 items and photos from the holdings of the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, the Museum of the Mosfilm Cinema Concern, the Shatilov Tomsk Regional Museum of Local History, the Museum of the Moscow Art Theater, the Nizhny Tagil Museum of Fine Arts, and the Tver Regional Picture Gallery.
