MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) - According to estimates, the Intellectual Belarus exhibition drew some 80,000-100,000 visitors, First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergei Chizhik told the media at BelTA’s press center.
Ahead of the Day of Belarusian Science, a large-scale exhibition Intellectual Belarus was organized in Minsk on the instruction of the head of state. The expo featured the latest developments and achievements of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, organizations of other agencies, including Education Ministry, Healthcare Ministry, Industry Ministry, the State Committee for Science and Technology and others.
“After the first few days of the exhibition, we heard the opinion that we should extend it. It was a very good decision. We saw how many visitors came to the exhibition every day. They came from schools and universities, as well as whole families came. People were interested, were asking questions. According to the estimates, some 80,000-100,000 people saw the exhibition. That is quite a number,” said Sergei Chizhik.
The exposition was divided into a number of clusters: artificial intelligence, IT-technologies, robotics; innovative instrumentation; electric transport and its basic components; defense and military science; ecology, nature management; biotechnologies; pharmacy, healthcare, medicine; agroindustrial complex, food; youth initiatives.
