Institute of Belarus Research opens in China

MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – The Institute of Belarus Research has opened at China’s Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy and Deputy Governor of Gansu Province Zhang Shengzhen attended the opening ceremony. The institute will mainly cooperate with Belarusian educational institutions in research and comparative analysis of Belarus’ and China’s areas of development.

Following the ceremony, Kirill Rudy gave the institute a set of Belarusian books as a gift.

Taking part in the event were also staff and students of Belarusian State Economic University, Belarusian National Technical University, and Baranovichi State University.
