GRODNO, 22 January (BelTA) – A unique presentation of different forms of art will be held as part of the 11th Festival of National Cultures in Grodno, BelTA learned from Alexander Versotsky, the first deputy head of the main division for ideology, culture, and youth affairs at the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee.
The organizers have already drafted the program of the 2016 festival. There are plans to make art the theme of the traditional parade of ethnicities living in Belarus. Different forms of art will be presented during the parade. For instance, music will be represented by Korean drums, dance by classical Russian ballet, and theater by a colorful show featuring a Chinese dragon. The program of the festival is expected to be full of exciting events that will mark the Year of Culture in Belarus.
For the first time, the festival will feature sports competitions and fashion shows that will demonstrate modern designs with traditional folk patterns in casual wear.
On 21 January Minsk hosted a meeting of the organization committee of the 11th Festival of National Cultures in Grodno headed by Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Natalia Kochanova. The participants discussed the concept of the festival and its program. The next meeting is scheduled to take place in Grodno in April.
