GOMEL, 28 January (BelTA) – Representatives of eight countries will take part in a familiarization tour of Gomel Oblast on 28-30 January, BelTA learnt from the oblast sport and tourism department.

The sightseeing tour of the south-eastern part of the country will be attended by journalists, representatives of travel agencies, chambers of commerce and industry, diplomatic representations and consular establishments from Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Slovakia and other countries. It is expected that Gomel will host about 40 foreign guests.

The tour which will kick off in the oblast center will cover Mozyr, Turov, Lyaskovichi (Petrikov District), Zhlobin and Rogachev. The business program will include visits to tourism, sport, sanatorium, catering and motorway service facilities.

The trip is organized by the Gomel Oblast sport and tourism department jointly with the Gomel Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Gomel tourism information center.
