MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – Free sightseeing tours will be available in Belarus on 21 and 22 April as part of the tourist guides festival, BelTA learned from the organizers of the event.
Apart from new unusual sightseeing tours this year’s festival will feature a mind game dedicated to the historical and cultural legacy and tourism.
All kinds of excursions will be available during the festival: tours for kids, literature tours, biking tours, animated tours, and quests. Sightseeing opportunities will be available for people with reduced capabilities. Interesting events and master classes will be arranged.
The festival will not be limited to Belarus. Tours will be arranged in Warsaw, Prague, Lvov, and other places.
The festival of tourist guides has been held in Belarus since 2009. It is timed to International Day for Monuments and Sites, which is celebrated on 18 April upon UNESCO’s initiative.
The festival is organized by the Belarusian committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), the Belarusian public association of tourist guides and escorting interpreters, the National Tourism Agency, and the public association Belarusian Culture Foundation.
