MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) - Foreign guests will be invited to all Year of Culture events in Belarus, Deputy Culture Minister Vasily Chernik told a press conference on 13 January, BelTA has learned.

“We will invited foreign guests to all events. Our main objective is to show our culture to those who will arrive in Belarus from other countries,” Vasily Chernik said.

In his words, Belarus will host days of culture of foreign countries, days of culture of Belarus will take place abroad. In particular, this is envisaged in the national plan of events in the Year of Culture.

The Belarusian festival of national cultures in Grodno in June will be a landmark cultural event in 2016. According to the deputy culture minister, this festival will be held under the patronage of UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova. UNESCO senior officials from Paris are expected to attend the festival events. The organization is also eager to supervise the Belarusian folklore art festival Beraginya.
