VITEBSK, 2 January (BelTA) – The first tickets for the 25th International Festival of Arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk 2016 will go on sale in February, BelTA learned from director of the forum Alexander Sidorenko.
“The year of culture which has been announced in Belarus will be eventful in Vitebsk. It will begin with the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Vitebsk Culture Center in January. It is expected to include a big concert, an exhibition of all departments of the center. We started the preparations for the 25th anniversary Slavonic Bazaar festival long ago. We decided on the style of the event two weeks ago. In mid-February, I think, the tickets for nearly a half of festival concerts will go on sale,” Alexander Sidorenko explained.
The celebrations of the anniversary of the forum will include a number of new projects, especially youth ones, and popular events. For example, the concert Europa Plus TV which was a sell-out in 2015 has been included in the program. The street art festival On Seven Winds has been developed. Plans have been made to include a concert of winners of the international young pop singers contests of various years in the festival’s program. The festival in Vitebsk will bring together new celebrities and old friends, including the winners of the special prize of the Belarusian President Through Art to Peace and Understanding. Those who will not be able to attend the event in person will send video messages.
According to Alexander Sidorenko, the festival will boast a wide geography of participants. The number of represented countries will be as big as the last year’s number.
