MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – Presidents of Belarus and Tajikistan Aleksandr Lukashenko and Emomali Rahmon exchanged gifts after the official talks in the Palace of Independence on 28 June, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko gave Emomali Rahmon a replica of the Slutsk Belt, the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 panel made of a 1,500-year-old bog oak (the 35x40cm painting features medallions portraying pictograms of 15 sports of the games), a set of Belarusian chocolate and the mascot of the 2nd European Games, Lesik the Fox.
In turn, Emomali Rahmon presented the Belarusian head of state with a Tajik handmade dagger Hhanjar with a deer bone handle and engravings, and a canvas painting depicting Navruz Palace. The palace makes part of eight miracles of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
