MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) – Darya Domracheva will join the Belarusian national biathlon team at the final pre-season training in Sjusjoen, Norway, BelTA has learned.
At present the three-time Olympic champion is completing her training in Italy. The women’s team under Fyodor Svoboda first trained in Vuokatti, Finland in late October and then in Raubichi. The biathletes are expected to arrive in Sjusjoen on 4 November.
The Belarusian men’s team completed training in Khanty-Mansiysk and are set to move to Norway in the near future. The new season for Belarus will start in Sjusjoen where the first IBU Cup Biathlon 1 kicks off on 23 November.
The BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon will start in Oestersund, Sweden on 26 November. The biathlon tournament at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang will be held on 10-23 February.
