MINSK, 8 July (BelTA) – The Day of National Cultures of the SCO Member States will be held during the 33rd edition of the international arts festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk on 12 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Culture Ministry of Belarus.
The new event will take place during one of the largest international festivals in the post-Soviet space. It will be held under the motto “For peace and development together with the SCO!”, which will highlight the high level of cultural dialogue between the SCO nations.
The dialogue of cultures as a contributor to the unity of the peoples of the SCO countries will be discussed during a round-table meeting that will be attended by official delegations of the SCO member states and SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming. The program of the Day of National Cultures of the SCO Member States will include music performances on the common stage, presentations of national cultures, and folk arts and crafts in separate pavilions on Victory Square in Vitebsk, the press service informed.
According to the Culture Ministry, taking part in the Day of National Cultures of the SCO Member States will be culture ministers or deputy ministers, ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan.
