GOMEL, 22 March (BelTA) – An exhibition of Chinese traditional costumes “Let a Hundred Colors Bloom” will open at the Gavriil Vashchenko Picture Gallery in Gomel on 22 March, BelTA learnt from the city’s cultural department.
The exposition will feature nearly 30 national costumes of the peoples of China, which were designed taking into account their production needs and lifestyle simultaneously performing application, decoration and cultural functions.
Visitors will have an opportunity to assess the riot of colors at Chinese national dresses, their variety achieved through fabric, cutout and fantastic combination of details.
The Gallery will also play host to a photo exposition “Over the Wings of Culture” which can be viewed as a retrospective view on China’s cultural revival. The works (over 60 of them in total) will tell about the rapid development of culture in modern China that has set forth a goal of building up a harmonious society and uninterrupted expansion of cultural ties.
The two exhibitions prepared under the auspices of the Embassy of China in Belarus will stay open until 22 April.
