MINSK, 6 July (BelTA) – Citizens of China will be able to pursue a Master’s degree at Belarusian State University (BSU), BelTA learned from the press service of the university following a visit of a delegation of Henan University (HENU) to BSU.
The Chinese delegation was particularly interested in Master’s programs in information technology, mathematics, physics and chemistry. Several cooperation options were outlined. Chinese students can get enrolled at the second-cycle level of BSU or opt for a joint Master’s program.
The Chinese delegation met with Rector of Belarusian State University Andrei Korol. The parties decided to appoint coordinators who will be responsible for educational programs and bilateral contacts.
Belarusian State University and Henan University forged educational contacts in 1991. The two universities run academic exchange programs. In 2018 BSU sent 13 students to Henan University and welcomed 5 Chinese students. Next year 22 BSU students will be sent to China. Some 38 Chinese students opted for the joint 2+2 program in journalism (course in audiovisual journalism) at BSU.
Founded in 1912, Henan University is one of the oldest universities in China. More than 60,000 students receive a full-time education in 12 branches of learning, including economics, education, engineering, history, law, liberal arts, management, medicine, philosophy, and science.
