MINSK, 2 November (BelTA) – The New Year charity campaign Our Children will take place in Belarus from 11 December 2017 to 10 January 2018. The decision is stipulated in Resolution No.805 of the Council of Ministers of 30 October, BelTA learned from the Belarusian National Center of Legal Information.
During the campaign, state and local government officials visit foster homes, foster and adoptive families, and hospitals to help kids solve pressing problems and bring them gifts.
The Palace of the Republic will host a charity New Year party on 22 December to gather orphans and abandoned children, kids from foster homes and military schools, large and now-income families, disabled children, and children of refugees. A special organizing committee will be set up to arrange the holiday. It will comprise Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Zharko, Education Minister Igor Karpenko, and Information Minister Alexander Karlyukevich.
The resolution also recommends holding charity New Year parties for children in oblast centers, Minsk, and every town and district from 26 to 30 December.
