MINSK, 15 April (BelTA) – There are plans to open a center of the Belarusian language in Pakistan, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus in Pakistan.
The project was discussed alongside with other areas of bilateral cooperation in the education sphere during the visit of the Belarusian delegation led by First Deputy Education Minister Vadim Bogush to Pakistan on 11-15 April.
“The project envisaging the opening of a center of the Belarusian language at the Pakistan National University of Modern Languages is nearing completion. The project is assisted by the Minsk State Linguistic University,” the diplomatic mission said.
According to the embassy, the Education Ministries of the two countries decided to conclude an agreement on mutual recognition of education certificates, academic degrees and titles, and also develop and sign a roadmap for cooperation in education.
The parties also talked over the possibility to exchange students and members of the academic staff, organize joint educational programs and research. In response to Pakistan’s interest First Deputy Education Minister Vadim Bogush confirmed Belarus’ readiness to provide assistance in setting up the University of Applied Qualifications in Pakistan.
