Bobruisk welcomes Marathon of Unity

BOBRUISK, 15 November (BelTA) - Bobruisk will stand out among the host cities of The Marathon of Unity campaign. We will launch many new things here, representative of the working group for the Marathon of Unity campaign, director of the Palace of the Republic Maksim Prikhodovsky told the media, BelTA learned.

Bobruisk is the first city to host the national social and cultural campaign Marathon of Unity in Mogilev Oblast. The first day promises to be eventful. 

The Belarusian news agency BelTA is showcasing its exhibition "Belarus. Takeoff" in the Absolut shopping mall. It features rare photographs from the life of the country.

Bobruisk Art Museum is hosting an exhibition of the Belarus Today Publishing House entitled "Exploits and Fates of Partisans in Documents". This is shown for the first time as part of the marathon.

The traditional "Not-Boring Not-Lecture" in Bobruisk offers informal communication and involves Bobruisk State Mechanical and Technological College, Bobruisk State Automotive College and Bobruisk State Agrarian and Economic College. 

“We do one thing!” This project is also gaining momentum. A meeting of the management and employees of partner enterprises will be held in Bobruisk at two production sites at once.

A delegation from MAZ, the management company of Belavtomaz Holding, will visit TaiM. Two long-standing business partners, Belshina and BelAZ, the management company of BelAZ Holding, will hold an informal meeting in the afternoon.

As the organizers point out, the Marathon of Unity is constantly welcoming new projects. In particular, Bobruisk will be the first city where a concert will be held right in a workshop during this nationwide campaign. The concert titled “Let's work and sing together!” will star Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Ruslan Chernetsky, People's Artist of Belarus Anastasia Moskvina, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Tamelo, and holder of the Medal of Francysk Skaryna Gunesh.

Another highlight of the marathon is a master class from the virtuosos of the Presidential Orchestra. The master class will be held at the V.V. Olovnikov Children's Art School No. 2 in Bobruisk on Friday. Participants in the master class will be able to learn professional secrets and personal stories of success and victories. The Presidential Orchestra will perform at FanDOK on Saturday.

The second day of the Marathon of Unity will feature various locations, open-air exhibitions and expositions, a city quest "This is the homeland of mine", a Meet-and-Greet with Director General of the National Library of Belarus Vadim Gigin, 21-time Paralympic champion Ihar Boki, Honored Artist of Belarus Ruslan Alekhno, radio host, editor-in-chief of Alpha Radio Vadim Shepet, a concert by the President Orchestra and much more.

The concert, which will take place in Bobruisk Arena, will wrap up the Saturday program. The concert will feature the Belarus President Orchestra (chief conductor Vitaly Kulbakov), Honored Artist of Belarus Ruslan Alekhno, Honored Artist of Belarus Alyona Lanskaya, Belarusy art group, Yuliya Bykova, Yevgeny Oleinik, the Aura band, singer and composer Vitaly Gordei. Creative groups from Minsk Oblast and Grodno Oblast will perform in Bobruisk.

According to Maksim Prikhodovsky, the campaign in Bobruisk will add on new colors. "Bobruisk will stand out because many things will happen here for the first time. For the first time the President Orchestra, an honored group of Belarus, will come here. The Marathon of Unity will involve even more enterprises," he said. "I invite all the citizens of Bobruisk to the holiday, which will be running in the city for two days."
