BelTA’s exhibition on display in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 16 October (BelTA) – The photo exhibition of the BelTA News Agency, entitled Sovereign Belarus: The Era of Achievements, is on show in Dushanbe as part of the ongoing Days of Belarusian Culture in Tajikistan, BelTA has learned.

The exhibition features 26 black and white photos illustrating how the country lived 25-30 years ago and 26 colored stills showing how Belarusians live today. Comparing modern photos with the ones from the archives, the visitors see the progress made by the national industry and agriculture, transport infrastructure, science, medicine, and the Armed Forces. The pictures of the latest years show the spheres of life in which the country has made the biggest progress and can be proud of.

The mobile exposition is part of BelTA’s namesake photo project developed to show the scale of changes that took place in the country over a relatively short period of time. The project includes the website http://bylostalo.belta.by/ru/ , a visual analogue of the photo expo.

The Days of Belarusian Culture in Tajikistan are underway on 15-19 October. Their official opening ceremony is scheduled for 16 October and will take place at the Tajik Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Sadridin Ayni.
