MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) - The Belarusian Summer festival took place in Catherine’s Park of the Russian capital on 27 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.
Catherine’s Park of Moscow became a place of the Belarusian history, culture and traditions. The music program featured folk songs played to the pipe and the well-known songs in a modern arrangement. Visitors could taste the dishes of the national cuisine and honey from Belarusian apiaries and try their hand in pottery, weaving and making flower headbands.
For residents and visitors of Moscow the Belarusian Embassy in Russia arranged a photo exhibition “Historical and Contemporary Belarus” featuring the most famous places of Belarus such as Mir Castle and Brest Fortress. Participants of the festival were able to learn more about the country's iconic historical landmarks and modern attractions, enjoy the pristine beauty of the Belarusian nature, and feel the soul of the people of Belarus, the diplomatic mission added.
