MINSK, 10 March (BelTA) –The honored company Republican Theater of Belarusian Drama is partaking in the 16th International Theater Festival Slavija 2017 in Belgrade, Serbia, on 9-13 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy to Serbia.

The Belarusian artists will show an adaptation of August Strindberd’s play The Pelican directed by Alexander Gartsuyev. A presentation of the Belarusian theater took place in Belgrade on 10 March. Besides, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Republican Theater of Belarusian Drama and the Slavija theater, Belgrade. The ceremony was attended by Serbian MPs, Belarusian diplomats, representatives of cultural circles of Belgrade, and journalists.

The National Library of Serbia was donated a collection of Belarusian plays by the winners of Francysk Skaryna and Modern Times playwright contest organized by the Republican Theater of Belarusian Drama and Belarus’ National Library.
