MOSCOW, 12 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian embassy’s business and cultural center in Moscow will host a gala evening dedicated to Belarusian cosmonauts on 13 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the embassy. The event will be timed to Cosmonautics Day.
Partaking in the event will be the Belarusian pilot-cosmonauts Piotr Klimuk and Vladimir Kovalyonok, their Russian colleagues Sergei Krikalev and Alexei Leonov along with representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian space agency Roscosmos, the Russian Association of Space Explorers, the Standing Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, and the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The event will feature an exhibition of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences dedicated to achievements of Belarusian scientists in cosmonautics. The gala evening will also feature an art exhibition “Belarusian space: History. Earth. People” by Honored Artist of Belarus Nikolai Opiok.
