MINSK, 27 September (BelTA) – Belarusian book publishers have participated in the international expo and fair Book – the Way to Cooperation and Progress in Ashgabat with the assistance of the Belarusian Embassy in Turkmenistan and at the invitation of the Turkmen State Publishing Service and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of this country, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Information Ministry.

The Belarusian booth received high praise from many official delegations. Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Sapardurdy Toylyyew said he was impressed with the wide choice, modern design and high quality of Belarusian books. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkmenistan Oleg Tabanyukhov presented a photo album about Belarus to Sapardurdy Toylyyew.

A number of Belarusian books were honored with awards during the expo. For instance, the book Belarusian Folk Musical Instruments (Petrus Brovka Belarusian Encyclopedia publishing house) got Second Prize in the Popular Science category.
