Belarus’ Yakau Zenko performs his short program in Minsk

MINSK, 24 January (BelTA) – Yakau Zenko of Belarus performed his short program at the 2019 ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Minsk on 24 January, BelTA has learned.
 
The 18-year-old skater scored 56.38 points in Group 1. He made a series of confident jumbs under the composition Dream by Imagine Dragons. However, several mistakes kept him away from a higher place.
  
Last season was difficult for Yakau Zenko due to an injury. Ahead of the current championships, he took part in the international tournament in Torun to place 7th with the total of 172.41 points (61.84 points in the short program and 110.57 points in the free skate).
  
The men’s free skating program is scheduled for 26 January.
