MINSK, 25 July (BelTA) – Belarus has won three medals at the IAAF World U20 Championships which took place in Polish Bydgoszcz, BelTA has learned.
Belarus’ Elvira Herman won a 100m Hurdles gold medal (12.85 seconds). Decathlete Maxim Andraloit took silver with 8,046 points. Gleb Zhuk won a Discus Throw bronze with the result of 61 meters 70 centimeters.
Belarus finished 12th in the medal tally ahead of such countries as the UK (13th, 1 gold medal), and South Africa (22nd, 3 silver medals). The Unites States was the winner of the medal count with 21 medals (11 gold, 6 silver, and 4 bronze).
