MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) - Belarus won one gold and 16 silver medals at the Open Championship WorldSkills CIS+ which was held in Kazan, BelTA learned from the organizing committee of the tournament.
Olga Zakrevskaya, a student of Minsk State Vocational-Technical College of Clothing Industry, won the gold medal in fashion design. Belarus picked up silver medals in all other skills: hairdressing, cooking, tiling, carpentry, etc. The results of WorldSkills CIS + were announced during the official closing ceremony of the event.
Now Team Belarus will be preparing for the 43rd WorldSkills International which will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from 11 to 16 August 2015. It will be the first ever appearance of the Republic of Belarus in the WSI championship. The national team of the Republic of Belarus will compete in 15 skills at WorldSkills in Sao Paolo.
