MINSK, 28 May (BelTA) – The Vietnam’s costume and crafts exhibition will open at the National History Museum of Belarus on 13 June, BelTA learned from the museum.
The exposition will make part of the Days of Vietnamese Culture in Belarus, the museum said.
The National Costume and Srafts of Vietnam exhibition will feature a collection of traditional paint and varnish products, bamboo and rattan products, pottery from the village of Bat Chang. A special section will be made up of 20 suits of Vietnamese ethnic groups, including the traditional Ao dai dress. Different regions of the country are represented by a collection of dolls donning ethnic costumes, as well as many other items made of silk and brocade.
The exhibition provides an opportunity to better understand and fall in love with the traditional culture of Vietnam.
The national crafts of Vietnam are rich in tradition. They are connected with places of residence of people - villages and even individual streets. The villages are home to talented artists and craftsmen who maintain their cultural identity, the quintessence of crafts and arts. These masterpieces are well known beyond the borders of Vietnam and have gained popularity both in the countries of Southeast Asia and in other parts of the world.
