MINSK, 19 December (BelTA) - Belarus will host more than 70 international sports events in 2018. The list of events was approved by Resolution No.963 of the Council of Ministers as of 18 December 2017, BelTA learned from the press service of the government.
Among the events is the 14th Christmas amateur ice hockey tournament for the prize of the President of Belarus (1-9 January).
Minsk will host the UCI Track Cycling World Cup on 19-21 January. The 2018 FIBA Under-17 Women’s Basketball World Cup will be held on 21-29 July, the helicopter championships on 23-29 July.
The FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup is scheduled for 15-20 August, the European Rowing Under 23 Championships for 27 August-4 September.
Minsk International Half Marathon will be held on September 6-12. September will also see the international biathlon festival “The Legends Race” under the motto “Biathlon Stars for Peace”.
