MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) - Francophone Days will be held in Belarus on 9-30 March, BelTA learnt from the French Embassy.
The event is organized by the French Embassy in Belarus in cooperation with the office of the Embassy of Switzerland in Minsk and the Embassies of Romania, Moldova and Armenia in Belarus.
Every spring millions of French-speaking people celebrate the Francophone culture and the French language. The events are usually timed to 20 March, the official International Francophonie Day.
This year the French Embassy will offer Minsk residents meetings and events dedicated to the French gastronomy, theater, music, history and cinema. The events will comprise meetings of the Francophone discussion club and the French cinematography club. The program will also comprise the business competition Golden Word and the Francophone Film Week.
