MINSK, 20 October (BelTA) – The Days of Tajikistan Culture in Belarus will take place from 10 to 14 November, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Belarus Kozidavlat Koimdodov told BelTA.
“The dialogue of cultures is a formula for establishing cooperation in political and economic fields. In 2014 the two heads of state decided on organizing the Days of Belarusian Culture in Tajikistan in 2015 and the return event in 2016. The Days of Tajikistan Culture are scheduled for 10-14 November 2016,” the diplomat said.
The Days will include a concert program featuring the best performers of Tajikistan, an exhibition of 40 paintings and the screening of films of the Tajikfilm Studio. The program will also comprise the demonstration of a collection of arts and crafts and the presentation of Belarusian playwright Aleksei Dudarev’s book of plays in the Tajik language.
“Last time we brought the Days of Culture to Minsk was in 2008. I think Belarusian people are looking forward to them this time as well,” the Ambassador said.
Speaking about Tajikistan’s tourism potential, Kozidavlat Koimdodov stressed that Belarusian tourists may be, first of all, interested in visiting the country’s health resorts. Tajikistan, with 90% of the territory occupied with mountains, also offers mountain climbing. “It is the most popular outdoor activity in our country. Tourists may also be interested in trying rafting. The country is also developing cycle and motor tours,” he said
