MINSK, 25 October (BelTA) – An international scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War will be held in Belarus on 25-26 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
A plenary session of the conference at the NASB Institute of History will be attended by representatives of the Belarusian parliament, the embassies of the United States and Germany, the Public Chamber of the Belarus-Russia Union State. Scientists from Belarus, Russia, Azerbaijan and France will make scientific reports on the problems of the history of the First World War.
The conference will feature a presentation of scientific papers on the history of the war and also the exhibitions “The First World War. Shared History. Shared Memory of Allies in Arms” and “The First World War in the American Posters”.
On 26 October the scientific conference will move to Smorgon. The program includes a plenary session, a presentation of scientific papers on the history of the First World War, the exhibition “War Frozen Moments”, a church service for the war victims, a commemorative meeting and a battle reenactment in the Zolotaya Gorka historical site.
