MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ Alina Talay finished the 100m hurdles second in 12.78 at the Ostrava Golden Spike (IAAF World Challenge Meetings) in the Czech Republic on 26 May, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Athletics Federation.
Sharika Nelvis of the United States claimed the win in 12.55. Bronze went to Tiffany Porter of the UK (12.90).
European indoor champion Alina Talay came within 0.04 of the Belarusian record to win the 100m hurdles in a personal best of 12.70 at the prestigious IAAF World Challenge meeting in Hengelo, Netherlands.
The next start for the Belarusian athlete will be the fourth leg of the IAAF Diamond League in Rome on 4 June.
