MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) – Melitina Staniouta of Belarus won the All-Around Individual events at the Bucharest Grand Prix, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian scored the highest 74,150 points following four routines (ball, hoop, ribbon, clubs). Second was Arina Averina of Russia – 73,600 points, followed by her sister Dina Averina (73,100). Yekaterina Galkina of Belarus finished fifth with the total of 72,700 points.
In the individual routines Melitina Staniouta claimed gold with the Hoop, Ball, and Ribbon. She placed fourth with the Clubs.
The FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Tashkent is underway alongside with the competitions in Bucharest. The Belarusian All-Around team scored 36,150 points to place second. Russia celebrated the victory with the total of 36,700 points. Bronze went to Israel (36,000).
The next FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup will take place at the sport and entertainment center Falcon Club in Minsk on 20-22 May.
