MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) – Belarus Pavilion at the VDNKh expo center in Moscow draws up to 11,000 visitors a day, BelTA learned from the director of the Belarus Pavilion managing company Gennady Romanenko.
“Some time ago we installed a people counting system and it showed that we had from 6,000 to 11,000 visitors on Saturdays, from 5,000 to 8,000-9,000 on Sundays and from 1,500 to 3,500 visitors on weekdays. These numbers have increased since then. the pavilion is packed on weekends starting Friday,” he said.
Gennady Romanenko said that 160 Belarusian enterprises are exhibiting their products now: mainly goods of light industry, food, dairy and meat industries. “Plans are in place to halve this number of enterprises and leave the best ones. But we will organize showrooms for every enterprise and give them the right to sign contracts. We want the pavilion to be also a place where business can conclude contracts for small-scale and bulk supplies. A Russian entrepreneur should have an opportunity not only to see a product but also check price-lists and strike a deal without going to Belarus,” Gennady Romanenko said.
