MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) – The exposition in the museum of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus will go on display in a new format, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee.
International Museum Day is marked on 18 May. “This year the National Olympic Committee of Belarus will present a new, interactive format to mark the day. The Olympic Museum will be presenting valuable items from the exhibition on its official pages in the social networks through 24 May, telling stories of a person or an event associated with them,” said the press service.
The Night of Museums event was first held in Berlin in 1997. The concept was well received and spread to many other major European cities. As a rule, on 18 May museums stay open late into the night. Two years ago the NOC of Belarus joined the action. For example, the headquarters of the Olympic Committee was visited by famous Belarusian athletes, champions and medalists of the Olympic Games during the Night of Museums in 2019. More than 150 visitors saw unique exhibits.
