MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) – Belarus has made it into Top 20 of the 2020 Integrated Index for Postal Development (2IPD) comprised by the Universal Postal Union, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Communications and Informatization.
The 2IPD is a composite index providing an overview of postal development around the world. The 2IPD is built on four pillars: reliability, reach, relevance, resilience. Information collected and processed in this context helps draw up the world rankings published every year.
Every country under review may get from 0 to 100 points. The 2020 edition spans 170 countries. Belarus has scored 65.56 points rising up one spot, from the 21st to 20th. Switzerland, Austria, and Germany have topped the list.
Given the statistical distribution of the 2IPD scores, it is possible to categorize countries in four main categories: Postal Champions, Good Performers, Potential Performers, Least Developed Operators.
