MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian men’s handball team have got into Pot 2 of the EHF EURO 2022 Qualification which draw will take place in Vienna on 16 June, BelTA has learned.
Belarus has been seeded in Pot 2 together with the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Russia.
Rivals of Yuri Shevtsov’s men will be three representatives of other pots.
Pot 1: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Iceland
Pot 3: Switzerland, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Latvia, Poland, Belgium, Romania,
Pot 4: Finland, Italy, Estonia, Greece, Faroe Islands, Israel, Turkey, Kosovo.
The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups. The qualifying tournament will kick off on 4 November 2020 to finish on 2 May 2021. The first- and second-ranked teams, as well as the four best third-ranked teams, will qualify for the Men’s EHF EURO 2022 in Hungary and Slovakia.
