MINSK, 7 January (BelTA) – An events calendar for tourists for 2019 has been compiled in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Sports and Tourism Ministry.
The list of the must-see events was drafted by the Tourism Department of the Sports and Tourism Ministry in cooperation with regional authorities and the Minsk City Hall. The calendar features over 90 events catering to every taste. These are sports competitions, concerts, culinary events, film festivals, theatrical forums, medieval tournaments and many more.
One of the key events of the year will be the 2nd European Games that will take place in Minsk on 21-30 June. Tourists might also get interested in the music and tourist season in the Upper Town, a museum show, the Minsk Jazz project, the international festival of history reenactment, the Minsk International Film Festival Listapad, and the Christmas Opera Forum.
Belarusian regions also have many interesting events on offer. For example, the Nesvizh Historical and Cultural Museum Reserve invites visitors to take part in music and theatrical quests Mysteries and Secrets of the Radziwill Family. Vitebsk will arrange Chagall Readings, while Lepel will host a festival of Belarusian mythology. Water tourism lovers will certainly appreciate the Motol Regatta in Brest Oblast. A magic show is expected to draw crowds during the festival of illusionists in Grodno.
