Belarus, China agree on projects to translate, publish classical literary works

MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) - Belarusian and Chinese publishers are set to translate and publish the classical literary works by 2020, BelTA learned from Belarus’ Information Ministry.

On 1 March the ministry hosted a working meeting with representatives of the Chinese publishing organizations who are participating in the 25th installment of the Minsk International Book Fair.

The parties considered the projects to translate and publish classical literary works of Belarus and China by 2020.

The Minsk book fair also saw a presentation of the books of the project “Petals of Lotus and Golden Daisy. 100 Chinese poets of the 20th century” and a ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement between Mastatskaya Litaratura publishing house and the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press of Beijing Foreign Studies University.
