MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian Biathlon Federation unveiled the racing suits for the upcoming Olympic season, BelTA learned from the press service of the federation.
The uniform was designed by Vitaly Ortiukh who found inspiration in Slutsk belts, Belarus’ national treasure and a wonderful example of applied art. The lines, collar, and cuffs are decorated with the traditional ornament which is a common thing for hand embroidery. The main color of the uniform is cornflower-blue.
The Belarusian reserve team will take part in the first official race of the season in Sjusjoen, Norway in the IBU CUP (men’s 10km and women’s 7.5km sprint event). The first team is gearing up for the World Cup due to kick off in Ostersund, Sweden on 26 November.
