Alexander Yermakovich’s men lost the first encounter of the Champions League third qualifying round to Slavia Praha 0-1 on 25 July. The Belarusian team took a 2-1 win at home on 2 August but was eliminated from contention because of Slavia Praha's away goal.
Nikolai Signevich and Igor Stasevich scored for Belarus in the home meeting.
In the second qualifying round BATE Borisov beat FC Alashkert Yerevan 1-1 at home and 3-1 in an away fixture.
The Belarusian team will now have to compete for a berth in the UEFA Europa League group stage. The playoff draw for the two tournaments is due to take place in the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on 4 August.
CSKA Moskva under Belarusian coach Viktor Goncharenko qualified for the Champions League playoff beating Greece’s AEK 2-0 away and 1-0 at home.
