MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – Victoria Azarenka of Belarus, currently ranked 186 in the world, moved into the Miami Open quarterfinal with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Poland’s world number 32 Agnieszka Radwanska, BelTA informs.
Earlier, the Belarusian cruised past World No.44 Catherine Bellis of the United States 6-3, 6-0, secured a 7-6 (7-5), 2-0 victory over U.S. world number 15 Madison Keys, and saw off Latvia’s world number 17 Anastasija Sevastova 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.
Victoria Azarenka will next face Czech Karolina Pliskova, the world number six.
Victoria Azarenka won the Miami Open in 2009, 2011, and 2016.
