MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – Belarus’ Victoria Azarenka is ranked 54^th in the recently released WTA rankings, BelTA informs.

The former world number one, who made her return to tennis after giving birth, has recently moved up from 63^rd to 54^th place. Victoria Azarenka currently holds 1,051 points. Last week she played at the 2018 Toray Pan Pacific Open and had to retire in the match against Italy’s Camila Giorgi due to health issues.

Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka goes 20^th with 2,320 points. Aliaksandra Sasnovich is 32^nd with 1,485 points. Vera Lapko is 64^th with 941 points.

Simona Halep of Romania tops the WTA charts with 8,061 points.
