MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – Armenia is set to hold the Days of Culture in Belarus in 2016. This is provided in the cooperation program between the Culture Ministry of the Republic of Belarus and the Culture Ministry of Armenia for 2014-2017 published on the national legal Internet portal on 5 September, BelTA has learned.
The program also provides that the parties shall facilitate the exchange of touring theaters, musical and choreographic companies from Belarus and Armenia. The two countries are also set to exchange the days of cinema. In addition, the parties agreed to participate in film festivals held in the two countries, to facilitate the exchange of theatrical productions and opera and ballet artists.
"The parties will support the establishment of direct contacts between their countries' museums, undertake measures to organize exhibitions in Belarus and Armenia," the document said. In particular, in 2015 Belarus is expected to host the exhibition of works by Armenian artist Arevik Petrosyan, and Armenia will host the exhibition of works of Belarus People's Artist Mikhail Savitsky, and the artists of the “Paris School” from Belarus.
The program will be in force until 31 December 2017.
