MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) – Applications are open for the anniversary 25th installment of the Listapad International Film Festival due in Minsk from 2 to 9 November, BelTA learned from the organizers.
The application deadline is 9 September. This year, Listapad will feature six competition programs: feature films (main competition), documentaries (main competition), Youth on the March (feature films), the contest of national cinema schools (documentaries), the children's and youth film festival Listapadzik, and the national competition.
Feature films must be completed within a year and a half from the festival dates. Short films can take part only in the national competition and in the contest of national cinema schools.
The rules and regulations for the applicants are available on the website of the festival.
Listapad is the biggest cinema forum in Belarus held annually in November. In 2013, the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) granted permanent accreditation to Listapad as a film festival of the Baltic countries, Central Asia, Central and Eastern Europe.
About 150 movies from over 50 countries are selected for Listapad every year. Five Minsk venues host more than 200 screenings and post-screening Q&As with the authors. In addition, the international film festival offers master classes and retrospective screenings. Listapad brings together up to 40,000 viewers and more than 100 guests from across the globe every year.
The organizers are the Belarusian Culture Ministry and Minsk City Hall.
