MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) – One of Belarus’ leading runners Alina Talay opened a new indoor season on a good note collecting a win at an international tournament in Dusseldorf, BelTA informs.
The Belarusian clocked 8.00 seconds to finish first in the 60m hurdles. Second was German Cindy Roleder (8.01 seconds), with Serita Solomon of the UK finishing 3rd (8.05 seconds).
Elvira German of Belarus finished 8th (8.54 seconds) in the 60m hurdles qualifying.
Alina Talay will next perform in a tournament in Lodz scheduled for 5 February.
IAAF World Indoor Championships will take place in Portland, the United States on 16-20 March 2016.
