Opening of the sports festival

The first tournament of national sports and pastime took place as part of the festival in Grodno. The sports club Neman was divided into 15 zones featuring traditional sports of various nations, including such cheerful Slavonic games as lapta, weightlifting, wrestling, and felt boot throwing.
