The cathedral has undergone really large-scale and complex restoration work. Visitors will be able to appraise the restoration work and to hear the sound of the famous organ on 3 September during a first-night performance of the Francysk Skaryna suite composed by Belarusian composer Anna Korotkina and to be played by cathedral organist Ksenia Pogorelaya.

The commemorative sign “Polotsk is the cradle of the Belarusian statehood” will be unveiled on 2 September. The bronze monument is 5.5 meters high and has been created by Vladimir Pipin. It brings together the images of famous historical personalities of Belarus.
